About the event

There are 48 million Black Americans in the U.S. Fifty-six percent of Black Americans have life insurance, according to a study by LIMRA and Life Happens, compared with 52% of all Americans. However, 46% remain underinsured, with their benefits not sufficient to replace income, offer cash value options during life, or provide wealth transfers across generations. Educating and empowering Black Americans to understand the importance and power of life insurance could help close the racial wealth gap.

The Chocolate City Wealth Building Tour is dedicated to empowering Black America by providing valuable insights, resources, and strategies to build, protect, and preserve wealth within our community. As we stand at the intersection of history and opportunity, it is imperative that we come together to address the economic disparities that have long plagued our community. Through education, collaboration, and collective action, we have the power to break down barriers, create pathways to prosperity, and build a brighter future for ourselves and future generations.

The Chocolate City Wealth Building Tour is designed to provide an immersive and empowering experience, featuring:

  • Educational Workshops: Engage with financial experts and industry leaders who will share valuable insights and practical strategies for wealth building and financial literacy.
  • Community Networking: Connect with like-minded individuals, entrepreneurs, and community leaders who share a common goal of economic empowerment and advancement.
  • Interactive Discussions: Participate in thought-provoking discussions on topics such as entrepreneurship, homeownership, retirement planning, and generational wealth transfer.
  • Resource Fair: Explore a variety of resources and services designed to support your financial goals, including wealth management, asset protection, real estate, estate planning, and more.
  • Inspiring Stories: Hear from successful Black entrepreneurs and leaders who have overcome obstacles and achieved financial success, serving as role models and sources of inspiration for our community.

The Chocolate City Wealth Building Tour will visit cities with high populations of Black Americans, with the goal of insuring at least 1000 Black families per city to have proper life insurance with living benefits and the ability to build generational wealth for their families.

Together, we can transform our community and ensure that every individual has the opportunity to thrive and succeed. Join us for the Chocolate City Wealth Building Tour and take the first step towards securing a brighter future for yourself and your loved ones.
